Not a story. Their story, in your voice.

Here's tonight's story for a little girl called Tara. Switch the language of her home, choose who tells it, and press play - that's the whole of bedtime, in about ten seconds.

Tara and the Moonlit Bunny
tonight's story · written for Tara

Once upon a time, in a town where the streetlights hummed lullabies, there lived a brave little dreamer named Tara. Every night, Momo the bunny tapped on the window with one soft paw and whispered, “Tara, the moon kept a story just for you…”

That was a stranger's voice.

Imagine it in yours. Two minutes of recording tonight, and your child never has a bedtime without you again, whichever city you wake up in.

How it works

Two minutes for you. Every bedtime for them.

No scripts to read every night, no screens for little eyes - record once, and bedtime is handled wherever you are.

1

Record your voice once

Read a few short lines in the app, about two minutes. That's all we need to learn how you sound.

2

We weave tonight's story

Gentle, age-perfect stories with your child's name and favourite friends woven in, narrated in your voice.

3

Press play at bedtime

From the next room or another country. Screen off, lights low, your voice filling the room.

Less time than tonight's “five more minutes” negotiation.

The honest comparison

Tonight, you have options.

Most of them are genuinely good. Compare what happens at 9pm, and what only one of them can be: you.

The part no one can copy

Tonight, a story.
In a year, a childhood.

Anyone can clone a voice. No one else has your last five hundred bedtimes: the characters your child invented, the joke that only works on the third page, the way Grandma always tells the December one. That isn't a feature we built. It's just what happens if you keep pressing play.

  1. Night 1

You record your voice. Two minutes, once, on the sofa.

  2. Night 30

The bunny has a name now, and a backstory. Your child corrects you when you get it wrong.

  3. Night 200

Grandma tells the snow story every December. That's just how it is in your house.

  4. Night 700

“Do the dragon voice.” It's Dad's. It was always Dad's.

One day these aren't bedtime stories anymore.
They're recordings of how you loved them.

Frequently asked questions

What is NinniTales?

NinniTales is a screen-free bedtime story app that reads gentle, calm children's stories in a parent's own voice. You record your voice once, pick a story, and your little one hears you at bedtime, even on the nights you can't be in the room.

Is it really screen-free for my child?

Yes. Your child listens with the screen off - there's no video to watch and no blue light before sleep. It's a calm, audio-only alternative to YouTube and tablets at bedtime.

How does the voice feature work?

When you choose to use the voice feature, you'll record a short sample of your voice. We use that recording to create a private AI voice that can narrate stories for your child inside NinniTales. Your voice is used only for story narration within the app, never for advertising or any other purpose. You stay in control and can delete your voice data at any time from Settings.

Can other family members add their voices too?

Yes, that's one of families' favourite parts. Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa or any loved adult can record their voice, and your child can choose who tells tonight's story. Every voice stays private to your family.

Is it safe and private for my family?

Yes. NinniTales is built for parents and guardians, not children. It's ad-free and kid-safe. Voice recordings are treated as sensitive data, encrypted in transit and at rest, and never sold or shared. The voice feature is for an adult's voice only, and you can delete your voice model any time.

What ages is it for?

NinniTales is designed for little dreamers aged 0 to 10. The stories are gentle and age-appropriate, and the app itself is set up and run by a parent or guardian.

What does it cost?

Nothing right now. NinniTales is in open beta and it's completely free for beta families: no card, no trial countdown. When we introduce paid plans after launch, early beta families will get plenty of notice (and a thank-you).

Which devices can I use it on?

NinniTales is live on Android - grab it from the Google Play Store and you'll be set up in a couple of minutes. On iPhone and iPad, tap the App Store badge to install it through Apple TestFlight while the App Store listing is on its way.
