The Brave Little Bunny

Once, at the edge of a soft green wood, there lived a small grey bunny named Bo.

Bo loved many things. He loved clover, and warm hay, and the silver path the moon left across the meadow.

But Bo did not love the dark.

On the night of the big storm, the wind knocked the little gate open.

Bo's favourite blanket tumbled out into the forest.

Bo looked at the tall, shadowy trees. His heart went thump, thump, thump.

"I am too small," whispered Bo. "The forest is too big and too dark."

Then he thought of his blanket, cold and alone in the rain.

So he took one tiny hop. Just one. And then another.

Deep in the wood, Bo found a fox with a hurt paw, shivering under a fern.

Bo was frightened. But he was kind.

He tucked his blanket around the fox, and sat with her until her shivering stopped.

"You were brave to help me," said the fox softly. "Let me walk you home."

So the small bunny and the gentle fox followed the moon's silver path together.

They walked all the way back to the warm little burrow.

And Bo curled up, no longer afraid, and fell fast asleep.

Courage begins with one tiny hop.
